This evening I was in great need of a healthy, nutritious but still delicious dessert. I had a very exhausting day today after an already exhausting week. Last week I went to the hospital to visit a family member so I have made him dinner for a couple of days. It was also my grandmother’s last week before she went back by plane to her home country Surinam. She usually stays at my mom’s place a couple of day before she leaves. Therefore I stay at my mother’s home too to spend some time with them. I always enjoy this 3-generations get together and afterwards I often feel a bit empty and tired. My mom was a bit ill too so I was happy I could help her with little chores. On Saturday I visited a summer festival in Amsterdam so no rest that day! The day after my grandma left, I went to the hospital again and now our house is getting a make-over. We put a new cupboard in the kitchen which took a lot of time sorting all the groceries. Fortunately we have thrown out a whole lot of garbage out of the house too.
Today was a busy day of stripping old wallpaper in the livingroom and afterwards I had some dinner. Later on I craved something with fruits so I made a very quick and healthy dessert. I wanted to share this with you for your hectic days and when you really need extra vitamins in a incredibly delicious way! Fruits have great nutritients and provide the energy your body needs. Fruits also contribute to a well functioning immune system. I love helping others but I can only help when I’m healthy. That’s why I wanted to have some fruit but with an extra flavor to it. All you need is your favorite kind of fruits, coconut milk and some condensed milk. I added some cashews too. Go get your vitamins too!
