Last week I went to the Lidl, a supermarket I love very much because of the great variety of colorful vegetables. When I saw purple Brussels sprouts I was sold. How great would these look in a yummy November oven dish or better on Christmas day? On the package it was written that these pretty purple sprouts have a more nut like taste and a bit different from regular sprouts. Great looks and taste=double win! Then I saw a box of little chestnut mushrooms too! I love these so much because they shrink less than white mushrooms and stay prettier. Sprouts and mushroom dish it is for your colorful Christmas cooking!
I think potatoes go so well with an oven dish. In stead of oven baking the potatoes I made potato spinners. A couple of weeks ago on a day out with a friend I found a potato slicer in a shop and I got so excited! Yeey, now I can make potato spinners at home, I thought and I thought right. These are so fun for kids too and I’m planning to make some for my little niece who is coming over for a sleep over soon.
