It has been a long time since I have written my last blog but the ones who follow me on Instagram, know I have been sharing my food and food for thought on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/spoon.my.food I am making it right today by sharing an incredibly delicious recipe for Vegan Dark Chocolate Walnut Brownies! That was a bit of a mouthful but so is this Brownie 🙂 Soft,a bit sticky and rich because of the oatmeal cream and dark chocolate!
It has also been quite a while since I had seen my cousin Tush. Usually when we meet, we hang out at her place. We all bring a snack, dessert and games. Our history isn’t what we would have wanted for each other. Although our fathers are brothers, family issues happened. Because of that we, as their daughters have missed quite some time with eachother. During the past ten years I started to assume things and imagine how they had grown up. It was such a nice and pleasant surprise when Cynthia and I met Tush’s sister Venu on one of our trips to a spiritual retreat in Belgium in 2017. Actually Cynthia and I had hoped we would meet Venu or Tush there because we thought that Venu went there quite often. We were right and lucky! We had the chance to catch up, talk with our aunt and we set up a date to get together with the four of us. You can’t stop genes that’s for sure. Although we didn’t grow up together, we have so much in common. We all experienced the family drama but our love for food is one of our biggest common grounds. Fortunately for us we decided to do it better and love the harmony and fun we have together as cousins. Last weekend Tush came to check out my new place. Ofcourse silly and really thoughtful as she is, she got me presents(loooove the socks) and an apple pie. I said that this time I only had food to offer so we shared some of her yummy pie and my Vegan Dark Chocolate Walnut Brownies.
This time we didn’t play any games but talked and talked. I had invited Cynthia and Natasja too. Ofcourse I had to give Cynthia Brownies to go because they were really delicious and I am all out! I had the last one for breakfast on Sunday. We always have so much to talk about. Just like the wee bit sticky brownies, I hope we stick together too for many years to come. The recipe for the delicious brownies can be found down below. Spoon that Food!
